WZUP extracts calendar events from images and URLs. We designed this service to handle your content as transiently as possible — we don't want to store your files or data any longer than the job requires.

1. Who We Are

WZUP ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website located at www.wzup.us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with your use of the service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary to deliver the service:

  • Uploaded files. Images (JPG, PNG, WebP) and PDFs you upload for event extraction. These are processed and not stored beyond the active session unless explicitly described otherwise.
  • URLs you submit. Image URLs and event page links you paste into the tool. We access these URLs to retrieve content for processing.
  • Usage data. Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security and service reliability.
  • Cookies and local storage. We may use minimal session-based cookies or browser storage to maintain your session state.
  • Mobile phone number. If you opt in to receive extracted event details via SMS, we collect the mobile phone number you provide for that purpose only.

We do not require account creation, and we do not collect your name or email address unless you contact us directly.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process uploaded files and URLs and return structured calendar event data to you
  • To monitor and improve service performance and reliability
  • To detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access
  • To respond to support inquiries if you contact us

We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

WZUP relies on third-party infrastructure and AI services to function. Your submitted content may be passed to these services for processing:

  • AI providers (e.g., OpenAI): Images and URLs may be sent to an AI API to extract event information. These providers have their own privacy policies governing data handling.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers: Our hosting platform may process request data as part of normal operation.

We encourage you not to upload images or URLs containing sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for event extraction.

5. SMS Communications

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive SMS messages from WZUP, the following terms apply:

  • We do not share mobile phone numbers with third parties.
  • Message frequency varies based on your use of the Service.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS messages. Reply HELP for assistance.

Your mobile number is used solely to deliver the event information you requested and is not used for marketing or shared with advertisers.

6. Data Retention

Uploaded files are not persistently stored on our servers. They are processed transiently and discarded after a response is returned. Server logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). However, no internet transmission is fully secure. You use WZUP at your own discretion.

8. Children's Privacy

WZUP is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our service, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal identifying data, most requests can be addressed by simply not using the service. For specific requests, contact us at the address below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in a new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of WZUP after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
